D-day pends for Exeter speedway

Plymouth Devils

The future of speedway in Exeter will be decided on Friday, 24 October at a meeting in London.

Allen Trump, who recently obtained planning permission to bring speedway back to Exeter Racecourse, will meet with members of the Jockey Club.

A statement from Trump read: "It's been very frustrating, we were ready to start digging out in September.

"But there are a number of clauses in the agreement that just cannot be agreed upon."

"It would be tragic if after all the work, effort and time that went into getting planning permission at Haldon we fall at the final hurdle," Trump continued.

It has been rumoured that amendments to the original lease have put the project behind schedule.
