Andersen set to join Bees roster

Coventry Bees (Jeff Davies)

Coventry Bees have agreed terms with Danish rider Hans Andersen over a proposed transfer to Brandon.

Bees hope to have the World Cup winner signed in time to take on what would be his former club Peterborough Panthers on 7 August.

At present Andersen is serving a 14-day Elite League ban which should expire on Monday, 4 August.

"I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike and riding for Coventry," the Dane told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

The Elite League ban was imposed after Andersen refused to ride for Peterborough because of unpaid wages.

Andersen will join Bees' other recent signing, the young Czech rider Filip Sitera.
