Bandits sign veteran rider Atkin

Berwick Bandits have signed veteran rider Tony Atkin from Newport Wasps.

The 42-year-old will make his debut for Berwick at their home match in the British Premier League against Scunthorpe Scorpions on 24 May.

Boss Peter Waite said: "This rider is a true entertainer who thrives on sheer determination to do well and that's exactly what we need in our side."

"We would have loved to have Tony years ago but when he makes his Berwick debut we know we're in for some fun!"
