Edwards signs new Yamaha contract
Colin Edwards has signed a new one-year deal to stay with Tech 3 Yamaha next season, alongside James Toseland.
The 34-year-old is on a fine run of form, with two podium finishes, four top five finishes and one pole position so far this year.
"His contribution to our improvement has been very important for the team," said Yamaha chief Lin Jarvis.
"Colin played an important role in 2008 pre-season development. We're very happy to have retained him for 2009."

Your thoughts on Edwards's new deal
Next year will be Edwards's fifth season riding for Yamaha in MotoGP, during which time he has been one of the most consistent performers in the championship.
Although he has never won a race, he has scored points in all but 10 of his 94 MotoGP races.
