Lougher earns Southern 100 treble
Ian Lougher claimed three wins on Thursday at the Southern 100 meeting on the Isle of Man.
Welshman Lougher finished ahead of Dungannon rider Ryan Farquhar and local Manx man Conor Cummins in both the Solo Championship and 600cc races.
County Down-based Lougher also claimed victory in the 125cc race while William Dunlop took his second 250cc victory of the week.
Michael Dunlop was fourth in both the Solo Championship and 600cc races.
Dunlop was fourth ahead of Newtownstewart man Adrian McFarland in the 600cc race.
Wednesday's scheduled action had to be postponed because of bad weather and there will be further racing on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, John McGuinness has confirmed that he will ride for the Padgetts Honda team in the Ulster Grand Prix on 16 August.
McGuinness claimed his 14th Isle of Man TT win when he won the Senior race last month.
