Rea fifth in qualifying session

Honda rider Jonathan Rea

Jonathan Rea was fifth fastest in Saturday's final qualifying session for the latest round of the World Supersport championship at Monza.

The Ballyclare man, who rides for the HannSpree Ten Kate Honda team, lies sixth in the championship standings.

Yamaha rider Broc Parkes starts from pole position, with Josh Brookes second, Fabien Foret third and Rea's team-mate Andrew Pitt seventh.

Rea was second in the last round of the series at Assen in Holland.
