Davies handed shock MotoGP return
British rider Chaz Davies will return to the MotoGP grid for the last three races of the season after securing a place with the Pramac D'antin team.
The 20-year-old, who has raced in the American Super Sports championship this year, replaces Alex Hoffman who was sacked after the Portuguese Grand Prix.
"I am very grateful to the team and Ducati for giving me this opportunity," said the Welshman.
He previously deputised for the injured Hoffman at this year's US Grand Prix.
The next race of the season is on 14 October at Phillip Island in Australia, a homecoming race for new world champion Casey Stoner.
The last two races of the season are in Malaysia and Valencia.
