Suzuka, Japan

Non-animated version

Suzuka is a stunning track, both in its challenge to a driver and its location

Suzuka is one of the greatest tracks in the world, and is unique in more than just its figure-of-eight layout.

It is right up there with Monaco and Spa as a challenge for the drivers - and some argue it surpasses both.

From the technically intricate sweeps of the Esses to heart-stopping 180mph 130R, it is a peerless place.

Suzuka, located in a theme park, returns to the calendar in 2009 after a two-year hiatus after it and Fuji Speedway agreed to share the race.
