Toro Rosso fail to reclaim point
Toro Rosso have failed in their bid to overturn a penalty imposed on Tonio Liuzzi after the Japanese Grand Prix.
It means Spyker and driver Adrian Sutil retain their maiden point won from the rain-hit race at Fuji on 30 September.
Toro Rosso initially celebrated what they thought was their first point of the season when Liuzzi finished eighth.
But he was hit with a 25-second penalty for apparently overtaking under yellow flag conditions on lap 55 - a sanction which dropped him out of the points.
Toro Rosso appealed, but after a hearing of the motorsport's Court of Appeal in Paris, the decision has today been upheld.
A statement from world governing body, the FIA, read: "Having heard the explanations of both parties and having examined the various documents and other evidence, the Court confirmed the decision of the stewards."
