Ferrari promise driver equality

Felipe Massa is one point ahead of Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen after their one-two in Turkey, but Massa is 15 points behind leader Lewis Hamilton.

And Ferrari team boss Jean Todt said it would be "inappropriate" to ask one of his drivers to support the other.

"There is absolutely no plan to make any strategy [favouring] one," he said.

That was not the case in the past, when Michael Schumacher - who retired at the end of last season - had absolute priority in the team.

But his replacement Raikkonen has not been able to establish a decisive advantage in the championship over Massa - just as double world champion Fernando Alonso trails his rookie team-mate Hamilton at McLaren.

Todt, whose son Nicolas is Massa's manager, added: "Both are very talented and doing a good job.

"There is a very good harmony in the team, they both want to win and there is definitely the same chance, the same support."

With Massa's latest success, all four drivers have won three races each this season, which is building into one of the most closely contested in years.

Hamilton leads Alonso by five points, with Massa a further 10 behind the world champion.
