Harvey takes sixth in class debut

Jack Harvey

Lincolnshire kart racer Jack Harvey finished sixth on his debut in the KF1 class, in the winter series race at the PF International circuit near Grantham.

Harvey, 15, suffered from a lack of grip during qualifying, but a change of set-up for the final saw him progress from the back of the field to third.

He then dropped back to eighth but regained two places on the final lap.

Harvey said: "I proved that I can battle with the guys at the top level and showed that I never give up."
