Wembley to host motorsport event

The new Wembley stadium The new Wembley Stadium will be the venue for the 2007 Race of Champions, an annual contest featuring champions from various divisions of motorsport.

The move to Wembley comes after three years at the Stade de France, where 51,000 people watched this year's race.

It was won by German DTM Touring Cars champion Mattias Ekstroem, who beat Sebastien Bourdais (Champ Cars) and Sebastien Loeb (World Rally).

Next December's event marks the 20th anniversary of the Race of Champions.
