Ian Woosnam has completed his first strokeplay victory for more than ten years after winning the Parkridge Polish Seniors Championship.
The former world number one finished one shot ahead of Spain's Domingo Hospital to finish on 14 under par.
The Welshman rolled back the years to shoot a nine under final round in Krakow to win his first crown since the 1997 Volvo PGA Championship.
This is Ryder Cup captain Woosnam's first year on the seniors tour.
Woosnam, memorably the 1991 Masters champion, fought nerves and soaring temperatures to capture the title in just his second seniors tour event in Europe.
In an epic head-to-head duel with playing partner Hospital, Woosnam carded ten birdies en route to a round of 63 which smashed the course record.
Woosnam said: "Domingo played absolutely fantastically.
"Every time I made a birdie he made a birdie, and vice versa.
"It was a terrific battle. I was pretty nervous towards the end because it has been a while since I've been in a winning position.
"I haven't won a strokeplay competition since 1997, so it was nice to get that monkey off my back. I think I'll celebrate with a few beers tonight!
"It has been hard work in this heat as it is a big course and the ground is very firm, it knocked my feet about a bit.
"It has been a tough couple of weeks on the back of tournaments in the States but even though I'm in a bit of pain, I'm a happy man - it has all been worthwhile."
Japan's Katsuyoshi Tomori finished four shots behind Hospital in third while Scotland's John Chillas finished in tied fourth.
