Lehman delighted with team morale

US Ryder Cup captain Tom Lehman US Ryder Cup captain Tom Lehman says his team are fired up after their visit to the K Club near Dublin, venue for next month's event.

Lehman and his whole team spent two days in Ireland this week as part of a team-building exercise.

"Of all the teams that I've been on, I think this team has the best attitude, the best kind of feel that I've ever been a part of," he said.

"These guys are really self-motivated and ready to play."

The trip gave some members of Lehman's team a first chance to experience the course which will host the event from 22-24 September.

"Monday was a day for our four rookie players to go out with two veterans and just see the golf course," said Lehman.

"It's been cold, windy and rainy but good and everybody is obviously pretty tired after a long stretch of tournaments.

"I am thrilled that the entire team has come over. It says a lot about their goals, about their motivation and their commitment to the Ryder Cup team and to each other."
