Phil Mickelson fired a solid final round of 68 to pick up his first title of the year at the Phoenix Open.
The American, who defends his Masters crown in April, ended five strokes clear of compatriot Scott McCarron and young Korean hot-shot Kevin Na.
World number one Vijay Singh's closing 68 left him on seven under for the event, 10 shots off the winning score.
Mickelson failed to recreate the magic of his Friday round of 60, but never looked in danger of losing his lead.
The local favourite struggled with his driver and survived shots deep into the desert and into the water.
In fact, he missed five consecutive fairways starting on the 10th but still managed a birdie on the 13th.
And he capped his round with a 26-foot birdie putt from the fringe on the 18th to wild cheers.
"If I keep putting myself in contention, I know I'm going to get my share of wins"
"We had a lot of fun - we miss the people here so much," said Mickelson, who attended college in Arizona.
"I had a good feeling going into the tournament, but after the front nine on Thursday, I didn't think that this was going to be my week.
"I was able to turn things around, and that second-round 60 was something I haven't done in a while - it's a great way to start the year."
Na, 21, birdied 15 and 17 to post his best US tour finish.
"I played pretty well this week and was pretty happy that I played with Phil.
"If I keep putting myself in contention, I know I'm going to get my share of wins."
