A birdie at the first play-off hole gave Gloria Park victory at the LPGA Big Apple Classic, edging out Korean Hee-Won Han.
Park, born in Korea but representing Australia, sank the six foot effort to give her a second victory in her third year on tour.
The two Koreans held off the challenge of Annika Sorenstam to finish on 14-under for the tournament.
Sorenstam, who has six victories already this year, shot a one under par 70 and missed the play-off by one stroke.
Park, who went into the final round tied for the lead with Sorenstam, managed a final round 69 while Han, the tour's rookie of the year in 2001, had a 67.
Park made a good start with birdies at the 1st and the 3rd to move to 14 under and she extended her advantage with another at the 9th.
Han made her move with a birdie at the 15th which Park parred and the two stayed tied until the play-off hole.
Sorenstam almost made the play-off herself but her 15 foot birdie putt at the 18th lipped out.
The 18th was chosen for the play-off and Park hit her third shot to within six feet of the pin and made the birdie.
Han was left with a birdie putt from about 40 feet which she missed to hand Park victory.
