Cristie Kerr has taken her first win in six LPGA Tour seasons by surviving a three-over-par 75 to defeat Hee-Won Han of Korea by a stroke at the Longs Drugs Challenge in California.
Kerr had gone 135 events without a title since debuting on the tour in 1994 - three years before her rookie season as a professional.
She had a pair of runner-up finishes in 2000 and tied for third twice in her first five starts this year.
Kerr headed into the final day's play in a five-shot lead, but double-bogeyed the par-three 15th hole and was tied for the lead when Han birdied the 16th.
But Han bogeyed the last after driving into a golf cart to the left of the fairway.
Kerr, 24, sealed the win with a two-foot par putt for an eight-under-par total.
