We've managed to sign three new players - a defender called Krisztian Timar, who's a big uncompromising centre half, a left-back or winger called Peter Halmosi, who's a Hungarian international, and Kevin Gallen from QPR.
BECKHAM GOES TO HOLLYWOOD
His whole life's been very well planned and he's looking at himself as a commodity - why not?
I think it's fantastic for him to go over there when he's still only 31. Pele went there and had a huge impact on the American game.
Football's one of the only sports they haven't dominated and a world icon like Becks might start the game really rolling over there, which is great.
I'd have loved to have signed him - he would have filled our ground over and over again. But he'd have had to get back to working hard like he used to, chasing and closing.
I'd have had to play him out wide on the right because I think that's his best position, so I doubt he'd have been too happy with me!

That's the next stop on his worldwide tour. I can understand him not wanting to come back to England. He played for the best team at the time and won title after title. Does he really need to do that again?
CHANCE TO FACE 'OLD MAN' ANDY HESSENTHALER IN FA CUP
Like I said last week, steward's inquiry on Hessy - I need to see his passport! No-one can be that fit at 42, there must be a little bit of Tippex on that passport.
My assistant, Gary Penrice, used to play with him at Watford and they all called him Barney Rubble because he looked like the old Flintstones character -"Hey Fred"!
He's a fantastic example to any young player - look after yourself and you can keep going, even at 42.
The thing is he still plays the same way. Glenn Hoddle could have played until he was 90 the way he passed it but Hessy's game has always been about running, he's never been one to stand around.

We've got to win the replay first but I'm delighted with how it went at Peterborough on Saturday and it's great to still be in the hat with a chance of facing Barnet.

We missed our meal as well - we had to have sandwiches instead - so we came home in the end. I took some time off work so I could think straight and unfortunately I was left in the dark!

Unfortunately I missed it because I was at a hotel and they ran out of power! I took my wife away, they had a power cut and we were sat there in the dark.
CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER
I hope Leo Sayer wins it. He's such a nice bloke it's unbelievable. He's quite ordinary, unlike Donny Tourette. I didn't think he'd last long the moment I saw him go in there.
If one of my daughters ever brought him home I'd say: "Excuse me, do you mind watching your language, mate?" The world's a better place for having different people in it - but is he really like that? Who knows?
I've got right into EastEnders lately, though. I never really watched it before but we saw the one over Christmas, Pauline's funeral and all that. That was a great storyline. I'd never dreamed of watching it before, but fair play to Martin - I thought he was fantastic.

I do like a bit of sea bream I must admit and I've had a swordfish steak in the past but I felt like I was eating one of my relatives!

Do I eat swordfish? Do I look like one, is that what he's trying to say - because of my big nose?
