Honduras 1-0 Jamaica
St Vincent 1-2 El Salvador
Barbados 1-3 Guatemala
Veteran striker Romario scored four goals as Brazil hammered Venezuela 6-0 in a World Cup qualifying match.
The 34-year-old, whose tally on Sunday included a first-half hat-trick in only eight minutes, has hit seven goals in two games since being recalled after an absence of more than two years.
"As long as I get the chance I will continue scoring goals," said Romario, who scored a hat-trick against Bolivia last month.
The win, under interim coach Candinho, left Brazil with 17 points from nine games as they completed the first half of their programme in the South American qualifiers.
Poor performances
They now lie in second place, five points behind Argentina, who secured another win on Sunday.
The victory came at exactly the right time for Brazil.
It was the team's first match since the sacking of coach Wanderley Luxemburgo, whose national team career sank amid poor performances and accusations of tax evasion and transfer irregularities which he has vigorously denied.
Venezuela, who had lost every previous meeting with Brazil, briefly nurtured hopes of an upset on a scorching afternoon in the country's oil capital.
They made a lively start, with defender Jose Rey testing goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni with a raking 40-metre free kick.
But Brazil took control with five goals in a remarkable 18-minute spell during which they sliced through the Venezuela defence at will.
Debutant striker Euller opened the scoring in the 21st minute, breaking clear to score after Venezuela had lost possession in midfield.
Juninho Paulista added a second in the 29th minute with a diving header from a cross by Romario.
Romario scored the third two minutes later when Vampeta sent him clear of the offside trap.
In the 36th minute Romario received the ball on the edge of the Venezuela area, dribbled past a defender and scored with a low right-foot shot.
He completed his hat-trick by coolly converting a penalty, awarded for a foul on Euller, in the 39th minute.
Glorious miss
Brazil let up after the break but still did enough to provide Romario with his fourth goal, scored with a simple close range header in the 64th minute following a cross by his Vasco da Gama team-mate Juninho.
Romario missed a glorious chance to add his fifth when he fired over from close range in the 88th minute.
Venezuela are now left rooted to the bottom of the 10-team group with three points from nine games.
In Buenos Aires, Argentina beat old rivals Uruguay 2-1 in a passionate World Cup qualifier.
Return
The win opened up a five-point lead for Argentina in the South American qualifying group. They now have 22 points from nine games. Uruguay have dropped to fifth with 14.
First half goals by Marcelo Gallardo and Gabriel Batistuta put Argentina in the driving seat in the River Plate derby.
But Federico Magallanes set up a nail-biting second half by pulling a goal back for Uruguay three minutes after the break.
It was the first time former Argentina captain and coach Daniel Passarella had faced his own country since taking charge of Uruguay last year.
In other games in the Latin American division, Bolivia beat Peru 1-0, Ecuador edged out Chile by the same score to keep their hopes alive, while Paraguay had produced a shock the day before by winning 2-0 in Colombia.
CONCACAF
Meanwhile, Mexico did an even bigger demolition job on Trinidad and Tobago than had Brazil on Venezuela.
Mexico won 7-0 in a victory that amply made up for a loss against their Caribbean competitors in the second game of the qualifying round for World Cup 2002, when the Central American nation lost 1-0.
The game did not change either team's status, given that both already had qualified to compete in the final group of six, from which three will qualify for the Finals.
Forward Jared Borgetti stood out for Mexico, with three goals. Cuauhtemoc Blanco scored two more, and Duilio Davino and Victor Ruiz one each but Trinidad did leave a number of European-based players out to have a rest..
With the win, Mexico tied the Trinitarians in first place in Group C. Each team has 12 points from five games. Canada and Panama are in last place with one point each.
Altitude problems
The confederation includes teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
The players from Trinidad and Tobago finished Sunday's game visibly exhausted. The team arrived in the city on Saturday afternoon and players did not have time to adjust to the city's altitude, 2,240 meters (7,350 feet) above sea level.
In addition, the team were missing their star forward, Manchester United star Dwight Yorke.
In another confederation match, Honduras won a trip to the final regional elimination round for World Cup 2002 with their 1-0 victory over Jamaica.
Defender Dany Turcios scored the winning goal in the game's 89th minute. The victory gave Honduras a total of 12 points, putting them in the lead of Group D.
El Salvador, which defeated St. Vincent 2-1 on Sunday in St. Vincent, has six points, while St. Vincent has 0.
Guatemala is now tied for second place in Group E with the USA, behind Costa Rica, after beating Barbados 3-1 on Sunday.
The top two teams in the group advance to the regional finals.
