Reds face stern Gunners encounter
LIVERPOOL V ARSENAL
FA Women's Premier League National Division
Venue: Skelmerdale United FC Date: 24 August Kick-off: 1400 BST
Liverpool Ladies have a massive game on their hands as they face current league champions Arsenal on Sunday.
The Reds opened the league season with a 5-0 defeat to Chelsea last week and new manager Robbie Johnson wants to see improvement in his team this time.
"Against Chelsea we were got behind them four or five times but we weren't able to capitalise," said Johnson.
"The opportunity is there if we're more clinical then we might be more competitive in this game with Arsenal."
FULHAM V EVERTON
FA Women's Premier League National Division
Venue: Burnham FC Date: 24 August Kick-off: 1400 BST
Everton travel to London as they face Fulham after collecting three points in their 1-0 victory over Doncaster last Sunday.
Everton assistant Andy Spence wants to see an improvement in front of goal in the coming weeks.
"Arsenal and Chelsea have scored a few more goals than us.
"But it's something we're going to work on and build on as we go through the season.
TRANMERE V READING
FA Women's Premier League Northern Division
Venue: Poulton Victoria FC Date: 24 August Kick-off: 1400 BST
In the Northern Division, Tranmere hope to get their second win as they host newly-promoted Reading.
Rovers started the season with a 3-2 victory away to Preston, but boss Shirley Waring admits she doesn't know a lot about Sunday's opposition.
"I don't really know what to expect from Reading," said Waring.
"They've got a long way to travel, so maybe tiredness will settle in and we can capitalise on that."
