Powell happy with England efforts

England coach Hope Powell England coach Hope Powell believes favourites Germany underestimated her side during their 0-0 draw at the Women's World Cup on Friday.

"We knew Germany would be strong and very physical," Powell told BBC Sport.

"There was a game plan and we stuck to it. Although we came here to win, we're happy with the point.

"Some Germany players had said things about us before the match and were perhaps surprised by our performance. They won't be surprised from now on."
