First-half goals from Carl Tremarco and Shaun Whalley saw Wrexham to a pre-season friendly win at Colwyn Bay.
A foul on Levi Mackin on the edge of the area gave Tremarco the opportunity to open the scoring with a superb free kick struck past Matt Parry.
On 35 minutes Mackin put Whalley through, the striker finishing well in the bottom corner.
The Dragons stayed on top in the second period, their hosts failing in their aim to strike on the break.
Earlier in the day, a different Wrexham side lost 2-1 to The New Saints in a behind-closed-doors game at Colliers Park.
A Marc Williams header put the Dragons ahead after just 60 seconds.
But two second-half strikes from the Welsh Premier side gave them the win.
