Fixture congestion angers Smith

Wrexham 1-2 Shrewsbury

Wrexham manager Denis Smith Denis Smith has criticised the packed fixture list that requires Wrexham to play four games in eight days.

The Dragons lost 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury on Sunday and now face an Easter programme against Chester, Stockport and then Bristol Rovers.

"We shouldn't play Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, Monday - it is just ridiculous," said the Wrexham manager.

"But once again we don't make the rules, we just have to go out there on the pitch and abide by them."
