Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray says his latest injury setback will not spell the end of his career.
The 26-year-old has not played since last May after initially breaking his shoulder and then straining his knee ligaments at the start of this season.
Murray told BBC WM he is confident he will be back: "I've done my cruciate but other players have suffered the same and have come back and played.
"The specialist says my knee's pretty sound so I believe I can do it."
He added: "I've been reading some autobiographies of players who've suffered the same injury and played on for years and years.
"I think there's no reason why I can't go on and fulfil the rest of my career."
Murray's time at Molineux has been wrecked by a succession of debilitating injuries.
After playing a key part in Wolves' successful promotion-winning season in 2002/03, Murray missed virtually the whole of the following Premiership campaign with a foot problem.
"The Premier League is where we all want to be. Hopefully we'll do it this season but if not then I'd like to help us achieve it next season when I'm fit"
More injury misery followed and he played only seven games over the next two years. But Murray is keeping his spirits up and is sure a top-flight return for both him and Wolves is only a matter of time.
"At the moment it looks as though we're going to have to get promotion through the play-offs. But I definitely think Wolves will go up.
"The Premier League is where we all want to be. Hopefully we'll do it this season but if not then I'd like to help us achieve it next season when I'm fit."
