Blue Square Premier side Woking have announced the appointment of former Charlton and Ghana striker Kim Grant as their new head coach.
Grant, 35, will work with former Oxford and West Bromwich Albion defender Phil Gilchrist, 34, as his assistant.
The post had been empty since Frank Gray left the club on 8 April.
Club chairman David Taylor told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "Great football is about to return to Kingfield."
He added: "We have made the fundamental decision to have a completely new approach to football. If we are going to revitalise the club we had to do something very, very different. Kim and Phil were selected because of their track record and their in-depth knowledge of the game.
"The detail Kim went into in terms of how he's going to get the team to play, his approach and the knowledge he has of football are second to none."
Taylor announced in April that he would quit if his next managerial appointment proved to be a failure - and he re-iterated his pledge to leave if the new appointments don't work.
"I will go if we do not get promoted in three seasons." said Taylor. "I repeat my personal promise to our fans that I will do everything in my power to secure us promotion to the Football League within three seasons."
After leaving Charlton in March 1995, Grant played for Luton, Millwall, Notts County, Scunthorpe, Yeovil and Gravesend & Northfleet as well as several overseas clubs. And he has coaching experience in Singapore and Ghana.
Gilchrist's 16-year playing career, capped by winning promotion with West Bromwich Albion in 2002, was ended by a knee injury back in his second spell at Oxford just before Christmas.
