Woking axe Cockerill and Crossley

Glenn Cockerill Woking have sacked manager Glenn Cockerill and assistant Matt Crossley, reports BBC Southern Counties Radio.

Cockerill replaced Geoff Chapple as caretaker manager at Kingfield in October 2002, being confirmed as boss the following month.

Captain Neil Smith and coach Graham Baker take charge for Saturday's trip to Morecambe and will remain at the helm for the rest of the season.

Cards chairman John Buchanan has also stepped down.
