West Ham secure Davenport switch
West Ham have signed central defender Calum Davenport from fellow Premiership club Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.
Hammers boss Alan Curbishley has moved to bolster his defence as he tries to steer the club out of the top-flight relegation zone.
The 24-year-old joined Spurs from Coventry in August 2004 but has struggled for regular first-team football at White Hart Lane.
He has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Upton Park outfit.

Davenport went on loan to West Ham, who were then in the Championship, immediately after his move to Spurs and spent two months with the club.
He was also loaned out to Southampton and Norwich to gain first-team football experience last season before starting the present campaign as part of the Tottenham team.
But Davenport found himself dropped after the return of Ledley King, who formed a promising partnership with Michael Dawson.
And, even though he has recently again replaced the injured King, Spurs have decided to let him go.
