Mackay confirms back-room team

Malky Mackay

New Watford manager Malky Mackay has wasted no time in confirming his backroom team, sticking to his promise of utilising 'Watford people'.

Former player Sean Dyche has been named as his assistant, while Alec Chamberlain continues his current role as goalkeeping coach.

There is one new face to Vicarage Road, in the form of new first-team coach David Kerslake.

Meanwhile, Martyn Pert returns to the club as head of conditioning.

Dyche returns to the role he took on when Mackay was in charge in a caretaker capacity last November.

The former centre-half, who also captained the Hornets, played 68 times for the club before heading for Northampton in 2005.
