Allen furious with Spanish police
Tottenham reserve team coach Clive Allen has called the behaviour of the Spanish police during his side's Uefa Cup tie in Seville "disgusting".
Riot police with batons clashed with Spurs supporters during Thursday's quarter-final, first-leg with Sevilla.
"There are stories that women, children and disabled fans were struck by the police," Allen, who was sitting on the Spurs bench, told BBC Five Live Sport.
"I find that quite disgusting really and it's very, very disappointing."
Tottenham said they would be co-operating with European football's governing body Uefa, who launched an investigation into the incident at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
"Our initial reports suggest there was no fan-to-fan fighting at any stage of the proceedings," said a club statement.
"As such, we are seeking explanations as to why the police reacted in the way they did with our fans.
606: DEBATE
"Tottenham supporters have enjoyed an exemplary reputation across Europe this season, which is why the events are unprecedented.
"We will be co-operating fully with Uefa, the British Embassy and the Spanish authorities to understand why this has happened."
