Keane delighted with late winner

Robbie Keane Robbie Keane says Tottenham have put themselves in pole position to reach the Uefa Cup quarter-finals after his first-leg winner against Braga.

Keane and Steed Malbranque had netted earlier to put Spurs 2-0 up before Paulo Jorge and Ze Carlos levelled.

But Keane said: "To score three times away is excellent and we're confident we can build on that at home.

"We made it difficult for ourselves by conceding two goals but we now fancy our chances back at White Hart Lane."

The second leg takes place next Wednesday and Keane added: "Their penalty was harsh, I thought their player went down a bit too easily but we showed a lot of character to come back after they got their second goal and win the game.

"We came here to get a few goals, which we did, but on our ground we fancy ourselves against anyone.

"It's always nice to get a couple of goals but the more important thing is we got the right result for the team."
