Martinez aware of Plymouth form

Venue: Home ParkDate: Saturday, 23 August Kick-off: 1720 BST

Swansea boss Roberto Martinez says his side could be playing Plymouth at the wrong time as the Pilgrims search for their first win of the season.

Argyle drew their opener with Wolves before being dumped out of the Carling Cup by Luton and losing to Reading.

"Plymouth have been unlucky in the first three results but we know they are very strong," said Martinez.

"They really want to get a result and it's probably the wrong time to play them, but we're looking forward to it."

Swansea have had better fortune after overcoming an opening day loss at Charlton to beat Brentford in the Cup and Nottingham Forest last week.

"We are progressing and you can see slowly that we are sharpening things up on the pitch and that's what we need, especially in August," said Martinez.

"The platform is there to be able to perform on a consistent basis - that's the next challenge.

"We need to be ourselves and that's going to be the hardest thing this season."
