Stockport boss Gary Ablett says he wants Saturday's five-goal FA Cup display to inspire his young side.
The 5-0 demolition of Tooting and Mitcham set up a second-round clash at home to Torquay United.
Ablett told BBC Radio Manchester: "I think the confidence the five goals will bring is important.
"The lads have worked particularly hard over the last couple of weeks and the confidence this win has brought us we can take into the game next week."
Stockport are in the League One relegation zone, and travel to 12th-placed Walsall on Saturday.
Ablett added: "The be-all and end-all now is, from a mercenary and a financial point of view, to try and get in that third round draw.
"It's a massive, massive achievement if we can and it could provide finances that will keep us going for the foreseeable future."
