St Mirren striker Stephen McGinn said scoring against Rangers in the last match the Ibrox club will play at Love Street was a special feeling.
McGinn, 19, came off the bench to net a worth match-winner against Rangers in the SPL on Sunday.
"It's hard to describe, because it's the sort of thing you always dream of, but never think it will come true," said McGinn.
"For it to come true was a really amazing feeling."
Two of McGinn's other three senior goals for St Mirren were against Celtic, but the grandson of former Celtic chairman Jack McGinn remained modest about the 20-yard strike that won the match for the Buddies.
"I don't know if they've ever seen me before and thought 'he's hopeless' and just let me to shoot, but it just opened up for me," said McGinn.
"it's always sweet to get a victory against one of the Old Firm, but it's more important for the fans, as they'll look back and remember their last ever Rangers game at Love Street"Most of St Mirren's players will enjoy a fortnight break from SPL action, but McGinn insisted there would be no time to dwell on his impressive goal, although his team-mates and family were pleased that he helped create a small slice of history for the Paisley club.
McGinn added: "The team are always happy - we went out for dinner after the game and everyone was chuffed for me.
"I have an uncle who is a Rangers fan, and he was delighted for me too.
"Any points against the Old Firm is a bonus, but to get three at home is really important going into a two-week break and you start to look forward to pushing up the table.
"As players, we really enjoyed it - it's always sweet to get a victory against one of the Old Firm, but it's more important for the fans, as they'll look back and remember their last ever Rangers game at Love Street.
"It's important for them that we can sign off from this old stadium in a good way."
