Cuthbert admits to tough debut
New St Mirren signing Scott Cuthbert said he had a tough game against former Celtic team-mate David Fernandez in the 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock.
"Usually you come up against bigger players who are good in the air, you don't get many like David and so you are on your toes all the time.
"I played against David before in the reserves and for a small guy he is really strong.
"But it was good to get an SPL game under my belt."
St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson thought the draw was no more than either side deserved.
"I think it was a fair result," he said. "I think there should have been goals because there was good attacking play and chances created.
"So we were pleased with the performance but disappointed not to win the game."
