St Mirren seal Cuthbert loan deal
St Mirren have signed defender Scott Cuthbert from Celtic on a year's loan.
The 21-year-old spent a loan spell at First Division side Livingston in the 2007/08 season.
Cuthbert, who has eight caps for Scotland's Under-21 side, has been unable to force his way into Gordon Strachan's first team.
The defender, who can play in central defence or at right-back, captained Scotland during last year's Under-20 World Cup in Canada.
"That's us complete, it's what we wanted to get - another defender," manager Gus MacPherson told the club website.
"We've been looking at Scott for quite some time. We've seen him playing with Celtic reserves and he is strong and quick as well as being a physical defender.
"He is hungry and eager to prove that he has what it takes."
