Buddies hopeful as Miranda leaves
Franco Miranda has returned to his Argentina homeland at the end of his loan, but St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson hopes he will return.
The defender had been on loan this season and negotiations are continuing with his present club, CAI, about bringing back the 23-year-old.
Meanwhile, defender Marc McAusland is the latest of the present squad to sign a new one-year contract.
Midfielder Mark Docherty signed his deal earlier this week.
The 20-year-old made his debut as a substitute in Saints' 2-0 home win over Gretna in March and spent a loan spell with Montrose last season.
Midfielders Garry Brady and Stephen O'Donnell have also been offered new deals.
