McCormack out to make town proud
Southend midfielder Alan McCormack has pledged to go all-out against Doncaster and make the town proud of the club.
The Blues head into their League One play-off semi-final with the scores level at 0-0 from the first leg.
McCormack said: "You get fans coming up to you in the street wishing you all the best and letters through the door.
"So you want to do the town proud and not let anyone down, but with the bunch of players here no-one will be let down by what we do on Friday night."
The 24-year-old Dubliner added: "Everyone's excited now - it's been a long week and we would have liked it to have been a bit earlier - but we definitely know we can go and do it.
"As long as we play the way we have been playing away from home over the past two or three months I think we can definitely get a result."
