Saints terminate takeover talks
Southampton have confirmed they have cancelled takeover talks, thought to be with barrister Jonathan Fulthorpe, and are not in negotiations with anyone.
A consortium led by Fulthorpe had been hoping to secure the funds to mount a bid for the Championship outfit.
They were thought to be close to tabling a full offer for Southampton's parent company after months of talks.
Former chairmen Rupert Lowe and Michael Wilde returned to the club's board earlier this month.
