Humphrey suffers injury to knee
Shrewsbury Town will not rush Chris Humphrey back into action after the winger picked up a leg injury in the club's opening friendly at Stafford.
"He got a whack on the shin bone just below the knee," boss Paul Simpson reported to BBC Radio Shropshire.
"It isn't too serious, but we're at that stage of the season where we don't need to take chances."
The 19-year-old, who started nine games for the Shrews last season, will miss the friendly with West Brom on Tuesday.
"The West Brom game is a bit early for him, but I'd like to think he should be available again for next week's matches," Simpson added.
