Owls eager to extend McMahon loan

Middlesbrough's Anthony McMahon

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is confident of extending the loan spell of Middlesbrough's Anthony McMahon next week.

Discussions have taken place with Boro, about the chances of keeping the 22-year-old for a further month.

"I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I don't see it being a problem, so long as they don't get any more injuries," said Laws.

"He fits in so well, it's like he's been here for years."
