Bennett extends Blades contract
Sheffield United keeper Ian Bennett has signed a one-year contract extension, despite interest from other clubs.
The Blades' number two goalkeeper, 36, joined the club in 2006 from Leeds United and has made eight starts.
He told the club website: "I'm pleased to be staying and I aim to provide real competition for Paddy [Kenny] - I felt I did well last year when I came in."
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has confirmed he is looking for a third goalkeeper at Bramall Lane.
