Clare is a goal legend - Phillips
Rushden & Diamonds' new signing Lee Phillips says he cannot wait to partner Daryl Clare in attack next season.
Phillips sealed his move to Nene Park from Torquay just a day after Clare moved down the road from Burton Albion.
And Phillips told BBC Radio Northampton he is sure they will forge a successful partnership.
"I know a lot about Daryl," he said. "He's an absolute legend in the lower league scene. Everywhere he's gone, he's scored 20 goals a season."
Phillips added: "He's a natural goalscorer. Anything around the box and he will score, and he will score a lot of goals.
"I can score goals but I can do a lot of doggy work for Daryl. I do the hard work and I get a lot of assists.
"But I'm here to score goals and I'll go for the top goalscorer like he will."
