Thompson signs new Rochdale deal
Rochdale forward Joe Thompson has signed a 12-month contract extension which keeps him at the club until 2010.
The 20-year-old came through the youth team ranks to make 62 appearances for Dale, scoring six goals.
"Of course I am happy and this means I can look forward to my third season as a pro," he told the club's website.
"Last season saw me involved in more games and scoring a few goals but it is now about continuing to improve and making my way up to the next level."
