Queens Park Rangers unveiled their new club crest at the weekend.

The crest was designed to combine elements of the past, present and future of the club.

Flavio Briatore, chairman of QPR Holdings Ltd, said: "This is a significant day for Queens Park Rangers in a period of huge transformation."

The crest features QPR's famous blue and white hoops, which appeared on the club's badge before it was redesigned in the early 1980s.

"It represents another step in our aim to re-launch the club into a global brand"

"I am delighted with the design of the new crest, which maintains the Queens Park Rangers tradition of blue and white hoops," Briatore said.

"I know how important it is to the fans that the hoops remain, and that was always going to be the case.

"This new crest is stylish, thrilling and authentic and signifies the start of what we hope will become the most successful period in the club's history.

Co-owner of the club Bernie Ecclestone added: "I feel that the new crest shows we are moving forward as a club.

"I hope the fans are happy with the current achievements and that the future brings what everyone at the club is looking forward to."
