Vale reject administration fears

Bill Bratt

Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt has said the club is not in immediate danger of slipping into administration.

In recent weeks the Vale have lost revenue by going out of the FA Cup and from the Britannia Building Society's Save and Support scheme.

But Bratt told BBC Radio Stoke: "We are not in financial difficulty, there is no danger of going into administration.

"Rumours started after we went out of the Cup but we have a budget and we are sticking to it."

The Valiants previously entered administration in 2002.
