Sturrock happy to grind out win

Paul Sturrock

Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock was happy with his team's 1-0 win over Preston on Tuesday despite the scrappy nature of the performance.

Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon: "We dropped from fifth to 13th on Saturday, with just one defeat.

"So there was definitely some apprehension around the whole stadium, especially in the second half.

"But when you're not at your best you have to churn out results, and that's what we've done," he added.
