Partick Thistle have signed Bryan Hodge after the midfielder was released by Blackburn Rovers.
The 21-year-old had been training with Scottish Premier League outfit St Mirren but has been snapped up by First Division Thistle.
And the Thistle website claims that the Glasgow club beat SPL clubs to secure Hodge on a two-year contract.
The Scotland youth international was a Blackburn trainee but made only one first-team appearance.
Hodge spent loan spells with Mansfield Town, Millwall and Darlington.
He replaces a former Blackburn trainee, Gary Harkins, who was sold this week to First Division rivals Dundee for £150,000.
