Patterson retains faith in squad

Darren Patterson

Oxford United manager Darren Patterson says he never lost faith in his players despite coming under pressure after the team's inconsistent run of form.

Patterson told BBC Oxford that his team's FA Cup replay win at Dorchester was evidence of why he still believes in the talent of his squad.

"It will not waver. If you see the statistics you can see what we are doing is right," said Patterson.

"I know what we are doing, the belief is there, but we need to be rugged."

The U's are 17th in the Blue Square Premier and lost at struggling Grays in the last league game.
