Forest agree Lynch loan extension

Joel Lynch

Nottingham Forest have extended the loan of Brighton defender Joel Lynch.

The 21-year-old's initial spell at the City Ground expired following Tuesday's victory at Crystal Palace.

But boss Colin Calderwood has reached agreement with the Seagulls to keep Lynch, who has made five appearances for the Reds, until 28 December.

Lynch is currently covering for left-back Julian Bennett, who is ruled out for six to eight weeks with a fractured collar bone.

The defender has made one start and two substitute appearances for the Seagulls in League One this season.
