Roeder and Clark punished by FA

Glenn Roeder

Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder has been fined £1,000 and given a suspended two-match touchline ban after criticising referee Andy D'Urso.

It follows an improper conduct charge which was brought after the Canaries' 2-1 defeat at Bristol City in March.

His assistant Lee Clark was given a one-match ban and fined £500 at an FA hearing at Soho Square.

The duo reacted angrily to Bristol City being awarded a 91st-minute free-kick from which the winning goal was scored.

At the end of match, Roeder walked onto the Ashton Gate pitch and confronted the referee Andy D'Urso.

Clark was sent from the dugout at the time.

Both men admitted improper conduct and have been warned about their future conduct by the FA.
